oh don't do globbing, you're just asking for trouble.

i've found for installs for %post I use yum -
http://www.dulug.duke.edu/yum/
</shameless plug>

It communicates over http or ftp pretty well and can let you  get
updates or what not in %post and takes multiple things to be installed
on the commandline w/globbing from it's available pkgs included :)
