I am having a problem kickstarting in 7.3. This happens both with a kickstart file that worked fine under 6.1 and 7.2, and with the kickstart file generated by a manual installation of 7.3. Kickstart begins, then ignores everything in the ks.cfg file. It doesn't read in the language default, the network parameters, etc. Here is the beginning of the "anaconda-ks.cfg" file left behind by a manual installation from CD: # Kickstart file automatically generated by anaconda. install lang en_US langsupport --default en_US.iso885915 en_US.iso885915 fr_FR@euro de_DE@euro hu_HU es_ES@euro keyboard us mouse msintellips/2 --device psaux xconfig --card "Matrox Millennium G400" --videoram 32768 --hsync 30.0-95.0 --vsync 50.0-160.0 --resolution 1280x1024 --depth 16 --startxonboot network --device eth0 --bootproto static --ip 10.95.18.2 --netmask 255.255.255.0 --gateway 10.95.18.7 --nameserver 128.95.18.1 --hostname earth.ms.washington.edu rootpw --iscrypted <whatever> firewall --disabled authconfig --enableshadow --enablemd5 --enablenis --nisdomain ypms --nisserver my.nis.server timezone America/Los_Angeles bootloader The file has no hidden <CTRL>M characters. Neither does my old ks.cfg file. Both files exhibit the same behavior. I can't find anything about this in bugzilla, but I'm not an adept user of that tool. Has anyone run into this problem before? If so, what did you do to get things to work? Thanks, Carl Carl G.
