To Ricky

oh, thats fine... can you post your comps list?
I'm think like Ron, the Base install have to much unneeded pakets.

The same problem exist for 'Kernel Development'.
You need for 'make menuconfig' only:
- binutils
- cpp
- gcc
- glibc-devel
- glibc-kernheaders
- kernel-source
- make
- ncurses-devel

Please Red Hat make smaller selection of package groups.

Marco

I have enough of the RPMs needed to fit on one disk and give you still
around 350MB left on that one CD! But that includes only KDE installed and
no internet browsers.....works good for us...

If you want the comps list, let me know...I will show you what I have....

Does anyone have a list of the Minimal needed RPMs for a RedHat 7.3
install? The Base package installs some things that aren't needed I believe.
