My experience is that if you don't include @Base you get it anyway, so to remove something from it (ie, sendmail - WHY is that mandatory still?) just do a "-foo" and it doesn't get installed. Of course, you still have the problem of dependencies, you can't simply not-install anything. -- ---------- vince.skahan@xxxxxxxxxx -------------- Connexion by Boeing - Cabin Network -----Original Message----- From: Amy Tanner [mailto:amy@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, July 11, 2002 7:29 AM To: kickstart-list@xxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Request for feature/information: Package deselect On Wed, Jul 10, 2002 at 03:20:57PM -0400, seth vidal (skvidal@xxxxxxxxxxxx) wrote: > in %packages: > > @packagegroup > -specificpackage > -otherpkg > > etc etc > > its in the docs for 7.2 and 7.3 Will this work for @ Base? I tried with a 7.3 install as follows: @ Base -ipchains -iptables -lokkit But it still installed them. I'm wondering if @ Base is an exception. -- Amy Tanner amy@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
