kickstart off scsi cdrom?

I patched my 7.2 loader to allow loading the ks.cfg directly off the
cdrom; and it works great with all IDE cdroms; but I'm now trying to
do the same thing off a scsi cdrom.

When the loader starts I get the error that No cdrom could be found; I'd
imagine I need to specify which scsi module to use for the cdrom; has
anyone ever done this?

You can't specify cdrom module stuffs in the ks,cfg because it's a chicken
and egg scenario (the ks.cfg is on the cdrom in the scsi cdrom). Is it
possible to pass kernel parameters?

Any help would be great, thanks.
Mike
