At work we build CD's by puting the ks.cfg into the initrd. Maybe you could work on this principle and build the ks into the initrd.img and bootstrap from there ?

I have not tried this but it sort of makes sense. I seem to remember you can pass the ks parameters via dhcp.

Subject: compaq pxe boot with kickstart...

hi, i'm am trying to start the kickstart installation without floppy or
cdrom...

the actual configuration i have is an nfs server, a dhcp server, and a
"pxe boot" server (it's an intel server equivalent to a bootp server )

actually, with a bootnet floppy , i can get the IP address by dhcp ,
install a computer and obtain a ks.cfg by nfs
OR
with the "pxe boot", i can get an IP address download the initrd.img and
the vmlinux kernel from the pxe server. But after booting the kernel, i
don't know how to download the syslinux.cfg, and how to start the
kickstart installation ?
Is someone have an idea?
