In my experience I have noted, that if you do a normal interactive install, there is a moment the installer wants to satisfy dependencies and asks you to if you will let it to.

If you do a kickstart install only the packages you gave up are installed without dependencies satisfied.

Personally I would like anaconda to satisfy dependencies on kickstart installation.
