use "--ondisk rd/c0d0" (no quotes).

BTW, has anyone figured out the equivalent for the cciss (Compaq raid in
dl380's) driver?  Using "--ondisk cciss/c0d0" does not work; I'm prompted to
use disk druid or fdisk.
