1. Try with IRQ 5
2. Check the modules.dep and module-info files inside initrd.img -> modules.cgz gile
3. Compile the ne2000 module inside the kernel and stop using it as a module and set the configuration option through the kernel parameters (see the eternet module problems subj. posted on Sept 27)
