Hi,

Im trying to install perl as part of a kickstart distro of 7.1 on an i386.
its in the package list correctly but it is simply ommited.
perl dependent packages can be installed, (i.e.perl-DBI-1.14.rpm) even tho perl is not present. maybe a bug in the perl-5.6.0-12 rpm or a compatabilty issue with that and anaconda ? Im going to try it with a different perl package version. and see if this helps.

On a seperate issue, kickstart seems to install many unwanted packages.
for exapmle. i dont have "at" or "timeconfig" in my ks.cfg file but they get installed. i dont know why, but one commonality between them is that they both require fileutils, which is installed.
Maybe ive missed something here but it seems odd.
I dont have any @base or other package arrays in my config.

cheers for any help,

Chris Walker
