Okay, I know I've confirmed it. Here's the extended scenario: Attempting to kicktstart a fairly simple P3/256 MB RAM/IDE HD server using kickstart running on a 7.1 based Dell Inspiron Laptop *AND* a DEC Prioris XL server. The kickstart process seems to progress in both cases until the client can't mount the needed directory via NFS (/kickstart in this case). PXELinux 1.49 is being used flawlessly to get the system booted. The initial image being booted is the RH 7.1 bootnet.img kernel and initrd. Loads fine using atftp-0.2 But NFS (nfs-utils-0.3.1-5 and portmap-4.0-35) falls down face first. There don't seem to be any newer versions of these packages for 7.1. Firewall is turned off both in the ks.cfg and on the Kickstart server. ISC DHCP 2.0.5 is being used for PXE services. So does anyone have any advice or knowledge of NFS problems on 7.1 (standard full install)? Doing the *exact* same process from a RH 6.1 server works flawlessly (knfsd-1.4.7-7 and portmap-4.0-17).
