Hello all. At the beginning of the installer when the screen is loading the scsi device driver, the install dies. I assume this is because this is a 6.2 kickstart installation and I need the PERC raid driver that is on a floppy disk because it is not on the install disk. Does this sound right? and if so how do I fix this problem.. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------- Brian Valle Liberate Technologies Integration Engineer San Francisco,CA -----Original Message----- From: Dumas Patrice [mailto:dumas@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, May 30, 2001 8:00 AM To: kickstart-list@xxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: error during partitionning Allocation Succeded On Tue, May 29, 2001 at 11:53:25AM -0400, Chuck Moss wrote: > > > > My disk is a scsi disk, but it seems to be detected well. > > > > Does someone know what this error message means, and how to deal with it ? > > Not sure what the error means, but may have an idea what the problem is. > Any chance you have old non-linux partitions on the disk already? I doesn't work either. Finally I used fdisk in %pre section, I repartitioned myself, and all went fine.
