The only other thing I can think of is that perhaps you have DOS-style line endings that you'd get from editing ks.cfg in Windows or somesuch, so that the "EOF" isn't being recognized as such. That would explain the question mark at the end of the filename as well. Doing ls -lb /etc/passwd* might be enlightening. - J<
