There are python bindings available in RHEL 6, however they are broken for SNMPv3, though that should be fixed any day now with the release of 6.2, see here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=710667. However the problem is, and perhaps I am making a mountain out of nothing, only the latest version of net-snmp have python bindings, and as such a wrapper around snmpget CL operations is more generic and portable. I could create a generic setup using snmpget, not sure about that yet. But after this latest patch (forthcoming) we will have v2c and v3 supported which covers most everything but the very oldest v1 setups, or if not old, those manufacturers who refuse to budge and implement new snmp setups. -Erinn _______________________________________________ Func-list mailing list Func-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/func-list
