One quick thing -- It looks like you also need to supply updated config files in the "etc" directory, so that people will have the config files you have changed.

Can you add those before I apply this? They should default to the proper values for func in it's "stock" configuration.

Still very excited to see this.

Since certmaster is not tied to a specific application, the other nice thing to see would be a patch to make Puppet use certmaster's certs. This can really be done for a wide variety of applications -- we were thinking about Nagios earlier. That way certs are all managed in one place.
