Hello, I am trying to test func on CentOS4, and am having problems.

I installed according to the guide, version 0.16-1 (func-0.16-1.noarch.rpm)
signed the certificates, everyone can ping everyone else's fqdn, but...

A followup: I was told this was because I didn't have smolt on the client box (BTW: there is no RHEL4 smolt on EPEL?).

So, I tried other things, and the service module seems to work, but yum fails, too, but without messages on the minion side. Here's what it says on the server:

Can you upgrade to the git versions (it's just "make rpms" from a checkout)? As I've said the exception reporting in 0.16 seems busted on older RHEL -- we'll do a release to fix that
shortly.

As for yum, the problem is twofold:

The module is named "yumcmd" not "yum".
"yumcmd" does not have an "install" function.

Both really need to be fixed.

Bear with us, this is a new project and if you see something like this in the docs for us to straighten out, sharing is extremely
helpful. Thanks!

We also welcome patches to any of the modules to add functions/features or generally fix them up. Many of us have been concentrating mostly on the core code and module loaders, it's time to show the modules themselves some more love.
