Yeh, they just have updated packages inside, nothing else added or changed AFAIK, but still unofficial obviously.
You were talking about test images, well they could fit in here, also I used them several times in installations, just because I wanted to have the latest packages on an ISO (could also use the netinstall, that's right, but ok).
