Problem with IPv6 access to fedora mirrors

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I’m doing some testing of IPv6-only connectivity (disabled IPv4) from my desk here at work, and wanted to alert you of a problem with fedoraproject.org

When you click to download Fedora 18 (from /en/get-fedora), the automatic download fails a good portion of the time, because it redirects to a mirror that isn’t IPv6 capable. I had to click reload several times to get it to find a v6-capable mirror. You probably need some additional logic to recognize that the request was made over IPv6, and ensure that you redirect to an IPv6-capable mirror.

Thanks,

Wes
