#176: Make 64-bit the consistent default x86 download ---------------------+------------------------ Reporter: mjg59 | Owner: webmaster Type: defect | Status: new Priority: major | Milestone: Component: General | Version: Keywords: | Blocked By: Blocking: | ---------------------+------------------------ http://fedoraproject.org/en/get-fedora provides the 64-bit version of Fedora if you click the "Download now!" button, but the "First, download a Fedora iso image" link on the right hand side links to 32-bit. "More download options" lists 32-bit before 64-bit. Under "Formats", 32-bit is listed as "Most compatible". Modern systems are sold configured to only boot UEFI OSes by default, which means they won't boot the 32-bit image. "Most compatible" probably isn't true any more, and it should probably require significantly more effort to obtain the 32-bit image than the 64-bit image. -- Ticket URL: <https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-websites/ticket/176> fedora-websites <https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Websites> Fedora Website Team's Trac instance -- websites mailing list websites@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/websites
