Hi, I took a look on the gnome css and started working on it, pushing the files on github [1]. The css file structure seems nice, but reading deeper there are a lot of duplicated classes and ID's, not according to a clean codec. I also noticed that the Gnome guys inserted a lot of new classes, rewriting partially the html code. My idea is a little bit different, the migration dead-line is very near and unfortunately I've no time to review the whole site. I suggest a review of the basic css file, this can produce a more comfortable layout too, but if there is anyone willing to give me a help in rewriting all the stuff, he's/she's welcome. ----------------- Robert Mayr (robyduck) [1] - https://github.com/robyduck/cgit-custom 2012/7/18, Robert Mayr <robyduck@xxxxxxxxx>: > 2012/7/18 Kevin Fenzi <kevin@xxxxxxxxx> > >> Greetings. >> >> As I have noted on the devel and infrastructure lists, we are looking >> at migrating away from gitweb-caching in all places it's currently >> installed and replacing it with cgit. >> >> I've already got cgit enabled and live, and we hope to remove >> gitweb-caching and redirect it to cgit on 2012-07-31 >> >> The following places are affected: >> >> http://fedorapeople.org/cgit/ >> http://git.fedorahosted.org/cgit/ >> http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/ >> >> Currently we are using the default/standard css that ships with it. >> >> You can see for example: >> http://git.gnome.org/browse/ >> has nicely customized the css >> >> I'd love to have something for our sites too if anyone is up to the >> task. ;) >> >> Either just a simple css we could use for all 3 places, or if someone >> is feeling daring, 3 seperate ones that fit with each of the sites to >> differentiate them. >> >> Thoughts?
