My apologies, it seems my earlier email was unclear. To re-phrase:

Supported releases (except for the current release) appear to be
not linked at all from the download site. Unsupported releases are  
linked
(though not that obvious). It seems to me that the supported releases  
should
be more visible than the unsupported ones.

I agree that finding old releases shouldn't be trivial - it wouldn't  
be good if
people downloading them by accident. But I don't think dropping all  
links to
old releases is a suitable solution. There are legitimate reasons -  
most notably,
regressions in current releases - why users might need to download
non-current releases (problems with wireless card drivers are an obvious
recent case).
