Software Update

Whenever,i try to access on Software Updater or Add Remove Software,that time,its tell ¨Another application is currently running which is accessing software information¨.But I am sure,i am not running such that application which is accessing software 
information.But I think,¨Fedora Software Auto Update¨ is enable all time.And its accessing Software Information.Any one tell me,how can I disable Software Auto Update? Or it has another explanation?
I am new in Linux.
I am using Fedora 8.
