Hello,

I installed fedora 8, started add/remove software, and the only
messagebox I get is "insert fedora CD 1". I have no CD 1 and I am not
going to have any (and the package manager does not start).
On the web page http://fedoraproject.org/ should be besides docs, wiki
etc. links also a link - well "known bugs and workaround". Users could
then easily handle the problem.
Since it is not the case, the only thing I can do is to delete fedora
and use something better.
I hope this will improve some time...

Apparently this is a known problem with a workaround, and if you had
found this page:

http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Bugs/Common

You would have found the answer:

http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Bugs/F8Common#head-bacdff343aa690b4eb56d375e3efe12311949729

Thanks for the suggestion. I put up a link the common bugs page on the
front of the wiki and the docs pages. It seems reasonable to sprinkle
this link in good locations like that.

http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/
http://docs.fedoraproject.org/ (should appear within the hour)

I wonder if start.fedoraproject.org would be a better spot for this in the future. start.fp.o still feels a little taboo to me, but common problems certainly sounds like a good place to post that link. Thoughts?
