So Google has this nifty tool that helps webmasters keep a track of their
website pages @ google.com/webmasters/. It shows crawling frequencies,
404 errors, unreachable pages, administrates sitemaps, URLs restricted by
 robots.txt, etc.

We'd need to create a google account and add a small file in each of our
domains for verification. Moinmoin already supports it [1] and so does
Plone. For static pages, we'd need to either create a script that
produces it or write it by ourselves.

Is this something that might interest us?
Yep, we've got it setup for use with the sitemap. If there's any info you'd
like from it or anything you want me to change. Let me know.

Besides sitemaps, these tools can help us in a variety of ways. It would be
useful for us to set it up for most of our domains (do we have a list of all our
websites?), and someone from our team to regularly check it for errors, 404s
etc. It even sounds like a good task for a new member.

Well, all that needs to be done to set it up is put a blank file available from the domains. If anyone is serious about it, I'm game.
