Controlling Chrome Save Dialog in Xephyr with xdotool

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Dear All,

I’m currently working with the following setup:

I start Xephyr with:

Xephyr :99 -screen 1920x1080 -ac -br -noreset &

Then, I launch Openbox inside the Xephyr display:

DISPLAY=:99 openbox &

Inside Openbox, I open Chrome.

When I try to save a page in Chrome using Ctrl + S, the save dialog
window pops up as expected. However, I’m unable to interact with this
dialog window using xdotool. It seems the dialog is not reachable or
detectable by xdotool.

Has anyone encountered this issue before? Is there a way to gain
control of the Chrome save dialog window using xdotool or any
alternative tool? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly
appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Paul
