You're probably better with a desktop for storage reasons, too.  Video
editing uses up a lot of storage space, that's much easier to increase
with internal drives.  The interface to external drives is usually a
severe bandwidth restriction.

Yes I was thinking the same. I looked at mini-pc but they are in the U$700+ which is over my budget. I'll check in the second hand market as Felix suggested, and I already have spare monitors, keyboard and mouse.
