(f-40, last patched Nov. 14; gnome; stand-alone workstation) (nvidia geforce gtx 660; I use the rpmfusion driver) Some of the GUI applications on my workstation are difficult to nearly impossible to use. Parts of them are invisible or on-and-off invisible. This started after I upgraded to f-40 last month. A few examples: - LibreOffice. The icons below the main menu are very light gray; the background is slightly lighter gray. The icons at the bottom are completely invisible. - gnome file browser. Text below file/directory icons are invisible; scrolling makes the text visible; clicking a file/directory icon makes the text disappear. Moving the cursor around makes text both appear and disappear. Text in the left side bar is invisible. - settings (gnome's). Text is invisible.Moving the cursor around makes text appear. Clicking makes all visible text disappear. - system monitor (gnome's). Some text is invisible when a tab is selected. Clicking a line makes invisible text visible. A few examples seem (so far) to not have been affected by last month's upgrade to f-40: * gnome terminal. * Thunderbird. * Firefox, * caja file browser. * gvim gui. * VLC.
