What am I doing wrong here?

# cd /etc/yum.repos.d/
# ls
brave-browser-rpm-release.s3.brave.com_x86_64_.repo
fedora-cisco-openh264.repo
fedora.repo
fedora-updates.repo
fedora-updates-testing.repo
winehq.repo

# dnf upgrade --allowerasing --disable-repo=winehq*

There is no "-" in "disablerepo". Ooops

No matching repositories for "winehq*". Add "--help" for more information about the arguments.

The filename is not the repo name and there are usually multiple repos in a single file.  So you need to look in the file and find out what the name actually is.
