Since I added nomodeset parameter via grub to the linux cmd line for Knoppix, I also tried that for both F40 and the F40 KDE, but got no different results. > > > I would suspect issues with the GPU. I encountered a similar problem previously when attempting to boot Fedora 38 on my system, which resulted in a black screen, although the system itself continued running. You can refer to the relevant bug report here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2236090 When I opted to install Fedora 37 instead of Fedora 38, the system booted without issues. I am currently running Fedora 39, and it appears that the driver issue has been resolved, as I haven’t experienced any problems. It might be worth trying an install of Fedora 39 (or F38). -- _______________________________________________ users mailing list -- users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to users-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
