Ok. No one responded, so we can deduce that this functionality, once present, has been removed in the latest versions of Gnome and now it is no longer possible to change this timeout. To do this I guess I would have to change the desktop environment. Is KDE, or another D.E. (Which? ), able to setup this touchpad timeout?. Thanks you for reply.
