mysqlhotcopy fails since upgrade f38->f40

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

$ sudo mysqlhotcopy mythconverg --noindices --allowold .
Argument "" isn't numeric in subroutine entry at /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/DBD/MariaDB.pm line 140.
DBI connect(';host=;port=;mariadb_read_default_group=mysqlhotcopy','',...) failed: Connection error: port is not valid number at /usr/bin/mysqlhotcopy line 222.

The database is on the same machine as the client.

$ systemctl status mariadb
	Active: active (running)

Does the utility need more arguments there days or does the database require some fiddling?

some details
============

$ which mysqlhotcopy
	/bin/mysqlhotcopy
and
	/usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/DBD/MariaDB.pm
both say the version is 1.23

/etc/my.cnf includes the stanza
	[mysqlhotcopy]
	password="xxxxxxxx"
Also,
	$ mysql -u root -p mythconverg
asks for password which still works OK.

dnf shows
	Installed Packages
	mariadb-server-utils.x86_64	3:10.11.8-3.fc40	@updates
same version listed for 'mariadb'.
