Hello, I guess that I have an EFI machine ls /boot/efi/EFI/fedora/ -rwx------. 1 root root 112 Mar 19 01:00 BOOTIA32.CSV -rwx------. 1 root root 110 Mar 19 01:00 BOOTX64.CSV -rwx------. 1 root root 673992 Mar 19 01:00 mmia32.efi -rwx------. 1 root root 848080 Mar 19 01:00 mmx64.efi -rwx------. 1 root root 949424 Mar 19 01:00 shim.efi -rwx------. 1 root root 747681 Mar 19 01:00 shimia32.efi -rwx------. 1 root root 949424 Mar 19 01:00 shimx64.efi -rwx------. 1 root root 2960704 Mar 8 01:00 gcdia32.efi -rwx------. 1 root root 3968320 Mar 8 01:00 gcdx64.efi -rwx------. 1 root root 2960704 Mar 8 01:00 grubia32.efi -rwx------. 1 root root 3968320 Mar 8 01:00 grubx64.efi -rwx------. 1 root root 148 Jun 13 2021 grub.cfg -rwx------. 1 root root 1024 Jun 13 2021 grubenv.rpmsave -rwx------. 1 root root 10306 Jul 2 2020 grub.cfg.rpmsave When I run grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg 1) the current boot is not detected (sda4) 2) Found Fedora Linux 38 (Thirty Eight) on /dev/sdc4 is detected But when I boot the machine (grub2) the install in /dev/sda4 is not shown In the past I used to use grub2-install /dev/sda but I get Installing for x86_64-efi platform. grub2-install: error: This utility should not be used for EFI platforms because it does not support UEFI Secure Boot. If you really wish to proceed, invoke the --force option. Make sure Secure Boot is disabled before proceeding. How do I manage this properly? Typically matching the grub2 menu with what is really installed. Thanks. =========================================================================== Patrick DUPRÉ | | email: pdupre@xxxxxxx =========================================================================== -- _______________________________________________ users mailing list -- users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to users-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
