Not 100% sure, but think the /etc/systemd/sleep.conf settings are
for systemd and thus doesn't matter which desktop one uses?
Know that my machines are setup with XFCE and they were going
to sleep after 15 minutes after upgrading to Fedora 39. Not sure if
Fedora 38 had different default settings, but 38 to 39 upgrade
changed how the machine worked. Other items like blanking
screen stayed the same. When upgraded from 39 to 40 the
sleep.conf setting remained same so no problem..

Don't know if any XFCE or KDE or Gnome or other sleep settings
would change the systemd sleep.conf settings.
