Fedora has `fwdupd` to install vendor firmware updates. Use fwupdtool
to check for
available updates. Documentation for fwupd is minimal, but man
fwupdtool should
get you going if your vendor (a) participates in the program and (b)
supports linux
for your model. Some vendors provide firmware updates using bootable
USB key images.

There was an extra letter, it's just "fwupd". But it should be
installed already anyway.
