Assuming that they have launchers on your desktop, edit the launcher and
look at the command. HTH, HAND.
And those launchers live under /usr/share/applications/ and ~/.local/share/applications/
For example:
wmcdonald@fedora:~$ grep Exec /usr/share/applications/firefox.desktop
Exec=firefox %u
Exec=firefox --new-window %u
Exec=firefox --private-window %u
Exec=firefox --ProfileManager
Exec=firefox %u
