After a reboot, cron &/or fetchmail reports there was a stale lock and removes it, I get this email each time: Cron <tim@rocky> /usr/bin/fetchmail -d 900 (From: (Cron Daemon) <tim@rocky>) fetchmail: removing stale lockfile And, in the past, lock files were done in RAM (tmpfs), which was empty at each boot.
