On one of my f39 systems Thundebird fails to start claiming that it is already running. "ksyguard" from root doesn't show anything I can recognize as having to do with Thunderbird. Rebooting does not get it to work. Looked at the ".thunderbird" file in the user directory and there are lots of entries there to make sense about. I can't close an instance that I can't find. The pop up window suggests using a different profile but I don't see any way to select a profile.
