IIRC file recovery from an rsnapshot backup consists of mounting the backup filesystem and copying. Unlike some backup systems (including Borg) the backup is simply a copy of the file tree with hard links to reduce the number of physical copies. It's similar to Apple's Time Machine (though Apple changed normal UNIX/Linux filesystem semantics to allow hard links to directories, which rsnapshot doesn't do). poc -- _______________________________________________ users mailing list -- users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to users-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
