How windows operate on keystrokes and mouse buttons is up to the individual apps. Some apps can be convinced to work differently. For instance I have this xterm line in my .Xdefaults: XTerm*VT100.Translations: #override <Btn1Up>: select-end(PRIMARY, CLIPBOARD, CUT_BUFFER0) That makes xterm place anything I select in every possible form of cut buffer or selection (why are there 3, who knows? :-). so I can at least paste things from xterm into any other app using whatever technique that app wants. -- _______________________________________________ users mailing list -- users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to users-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
