I think they're suggesting that if you wanted to rescue a system, it
may be beneficial to boot from something else, such as a live install
of Fedora on a USB memory stick. Sometimes it's an exercise in
frustration trying to fix a system by booting from it.
Well that makes sense. I thought he meant
to use a Live USB (I have several) to create
a rescue boot kernel for the system.
