Those will probably actually be gone. The way you get these is if the /boot is not visible and/or mounted and/or hidden during the rpm removal or there is another /boot that was incorrectly mounted at the time over the right boot. The exact same thing also happens with installs, if wrong /boot then the kernel/initramfs gets installed something that is not used during boot.
