I suggest that you raise a bugzilla ticket with your debug output.
That should mean something to the gnome-shell devs.
I cannot see anything to suggest as a workaround from the bt.

That looks bad.
 
You should be able to get a stack trace out of
 
coredumpctl debug
t a a bt
 
t a a bt is short for  "thread apply all backtrace".
