The nuclear option is to boot to run level 3 or log in as another user
and delete the following directories:
rm -rf /home/yourname/.cache/xfce4
rm -rf /home/yourname/.config/xfce4
rm -rf /home/yourname/.local/share/xfce4
Then when you log back in, xfce4 will start up with the default settings.
