I am seriously considering enlarging /boot. But I anticipate that

So we're back to where this left off....
You don't want to be messing around with changing partition sizes if
you don't have another computer around.
How do I get the grub menu corrected?
Assuming the BLS conversion happened, look in /boot/loader/entries/
and remove any entries that don't correspond to installed kernels. If
they aren't there, then you'll have to regenerate the grub config file.
Thank-you, Samuel.
What is "BLS conversion"?
Boot Loader Specification:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/BootLoaderSpecByDefault
Instead of a monolithic config file with all the entries in it, there
are now snippets for each entry in /boot/loader/entries/ and grub loads
them from there to make the menu.
