Re: Dell XPS 13 recommendations (used/refurbished)

Max,

I have a Dell XPS 13 from 2013 and a Dell XPS 13 from 2018. Both bought new then. They work fine, and I have been very pleased with them. (In fact, there is a small group of graduate students who bought similar models around that time based on my experience.) These machines install my remix of Fedora efficiently (which means that they would likely have no problems with the Fedora official environments), and are part of my stable of workhorses. I largely use the earlier 1980x1080 Dell for teaching and presentation, in connection with HDMI projection, and the newer one is the 3840x2160 resolution machine I do all sorts of tasks on, including hour-long computations, and typing this email. I have had no problems with wifi/network, however i had to change the battery for both of them last year (the older Dell that is not part of your consideration, needed an after-market battery because Dell no longer made that part).

HTH! As you can see, fairly positive recommendations here, but happy to answer questions as needed.

Best wishes,
Ranjan
