      Greetings,

I'm stumbling through both an F38 upgrade and a new installation (the
latter due to an F38 major upgrade problem). Thankfully, data has been
      saved and recovered.

But problems arise (sort of like knowing how to drive a 2000 model year
vehicle and then being confronted with a 2020 model year one).

      Two problems:
      1) On both machines, printing to my HP P3015 produces a mirror image when
      printing from a browser.

I've reinstalled drivers on both the desktop (uses the HP postscript driver) and the laptop (using HP LaserJet p3010 Series hpijs pcl3, 3.22.10) and on both machines when printing from a browser or libreoffice or gedit the results are correct.

Have you tried Fedora's hplip.x86_64 (HP Linux Imaging and Printing Project) package?

      2) When using paps to print text files, the result is raw postscript,
meaning multiple pages when one was expected.

Do you mean that the printout is the PostScript code, or that you want to select
one page from a lengthy text file?

The problem arises using paps.

I issue the command:
paps --columns=2 --landscape --paper=letter --font="Monospace 5" /path/to/some/textfile | lpr -P lp3

On my laptop I get raw postscript (no longer in mirror image format.

On my desktop I get raw postscript mirror imaged.

Originally, I used enscript. When utf-8 characters were not printing correctly, someone recommended paps, and through F37 it worked correctly.

Thanks.

      Advice?
