Hi
I just updated my Fedora 36 desktop with the latest updates and
after
that I can no longer do 'su -' in a terminal window. I get 'su:
Authentication failure'. Same thing if I try to log in as root on
the
console. But sudo works. What could have happened?

sudo su -
Then:
passwd
(to set root password)
And try again
Thanks, that solved the issue.
But I don't know what to think about it. Should I get paranoid?
Glad to help. Perhaps F37 "disable" root that way (as Ubuntu does).
Still in F36 :-)
