I always boot into multiuser before starting X with LXDE using startx when I want a gui. So, this does work, as others have confirmed. Try putting the following in a file called .Xclients in your home directory. #! /bin/bash exec startxfce4 and once you have, run startx again. If you use the command startx -- vt10 it should leave the messages from X on tty1, and put the X display on virtual console 10. If you want to start X as a different user, you can then start it on a different virtual console. _______________________________________________ users mailing list -- users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to users-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
