What VNC server are you using? https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fedora/latest/system-administrators-guide/infrastructure-services/TigerVNC/ has you putting the geometry in
/etc/systemd/system/vncserver@.service. I've been configuring TigerVNC for years, and so have ~/.vnc/passwd and ~/.vnc/config from days gone by.
