No stretch at all. Shutdown means to shutdown,
not to hibernate/suspend. M$ is lying to its
customers so they can brag about how fast
their stuff boots.
Maybe not lying, just MS is so big they can get away with redefining
technical terms.
Clear, consistent, use of technical terms is important. Now shutdown
means something different for many Windows systems. Abuse of
terminology adds to the confusion many people for whom English is a
second language already have with the lack of consistency in English.
